Hello all,
Let’s cut to the chase and talk about Pixelwolf. For those of you who’ve been around since the good old days, you’ll remember me stumbling into the indie game dev scene as an utterly clueless but determined novice 3D artist. I figured if I was going to make a mess of it, I might as well share the learning process on YouTube. And thus, Pixelwolf was born!
Fast forward a bit, and well, life decided to hit the “chaos” button. Turns out, being a dad to three tiny humans and a full-time flood restoration technician (now with an even more demanding promotion, because why not?) tends to eat into those precious game dev hours. Who knew?
Shifting Gears

So, what’s the deal with Pixelwolf now? Basically, my grand plans for full-time game dev and 3D asset production have been politely informed they’re moving to the hobby section of my life. I’ll still be dabbling, creating, and occasionally swearing at code, but it’s not the main gig anymore. Consider it a passion project that gets tackled between wrestling toddlers and rescuing flooded basements.
This shift also means the Pixelwolf website got a much-needed overhaul. We’re talking back to basics, simplified design, and me ruthlessly closing down all those little-used accounts and side projects. Less clutter, more sanity – a win-win, really.
What to Expect on the Pixelwolf Website (Spoiler: It’s Not Just Games Anymore)
Moving forward, here’s the lowdown on what’s going to be cooking on the Pixelwolf website:
- Game Dev Content (When the Stars Align): I’ll still post about game development, but let’s be real, it’ll be as consistent as my sleep schedule. When I do manage to squeeze in some game-related shenanigans, I’ll share it. Think of it as rare, glittering nuggets of wisdom, not a steady stream.
- YouTube Remains for Game Dev (The OG Spot): Any game stuff I actually do work on will still land on my YouTube channel. I’ll even try to throw in some tutorials and help where I can. Because old habits die hard, even if they’re now on life support.
- My Other Obsessions: The website is also getting a dose of my other, shall we say, eccentric interests. So, prepare for the occasional post about things like the paranormal, UFO’s (because you know), aliens (can’t have UFOs and not aliens) and 90s nostalgia. Practically whatever other random thoughts pop into my head. Consider it a peek into the delightful mess that is my brain.
Where to Find Pixelwolf (The Essential Spots)
To keep my digital footprint from becoming a sprawling mess, I’m only maintaining a select few external outposts:
- My itch.io page (where the digital goods live)
- The official Pixelwolf page (you’re here!)
- The Forth Wall merch page (for when you want to wear my questionable taste)
- The EFPSE Wiki (because lore, obviously)
- The Pixelwolf Game Dev Forums (for all your burning questions and debugging woes)
This new chapter for Pixelwolf is about embracing the glorious chaos of life, simplifying where I can, and still having fun with the things I’m passionate about. It’s a less structured, slightly more unpredictable ride, but it’s still Pixelwolf.
